A Coronary Angiogram CT (CTCA) is a non-invasive imaging test that visualises the coronary arteries using IV contrast and high-speed CT scanning. It detects blockages, narrowing, and calcium deposits without catheter insertion. It is an excellent alternative to invasive coronary angiography for patients with chest pain, intermediate risk, or pre-operative evaluation. Calcium scoring can also be included.
Key benefits of this package include:
Blockages or narrowing (stenosis)
Plaque type (calcified or soft)
Anomalous coronary arteries
Calcium scoring (Agatston score)
Heart chamber size and function (basic assessment)
Aortic root abnormalities
Pulmonary veins (in some protocols)
